一日信收到，但稿尚未来。前两函也收到的，并小说两本，惟金君终未见访也。丁君确健在，但此后大约未必再有文章，或再有先前那样的文章，因为这是健在的代价。
我因向不交际，与出版界很隔膜，绍介译作，总是碰钉子居多，现在是不敢尝试了。郑君已南来，日内当可见面，那时当与之一谈。
我一切如前，但因小病，正在医治，再有十来天，大约可以全愈，回到家里去了。
