惠函早到。以我之年龄与生计而论，其实早无力为人阅看创作或校对翻译。何况今年两次大病，不死者幸耳，至今作千余字，即觉不支，所以赐寄大稿，真是无法可想，积存敝寓，于心又不安，尤惧遗失。今日已汇为一卷，托书店挂号寄上，乞察收，此后尤希直接寄编辑或出版者，以省转折。因为寓中人少，各无暇晷，每遇收发稿件，奔走邮局，殊以为苦也。事非得已，伏乞谅鉴为幸。
