收到来信并《鸿爪》一本，谢谢。
我来投稿，我看是不好的。官场有不测之威，一样的事情，忽而不要紧，忽而犯大罪。实在不值得为了一篇文字，也许贻害文社和刊物。假使是大文章，发表出来就天翻地覆，那是牺牲一下也可以的，不过我那会写这样的文字。
以我为师，我是不敢当的，因为我没有东西可以指授，而且约为师弟的风气，我也不赞成。
我们的关系，我想，只要大家都算在文学界上做点事的也就够了。
