十一月二十一日信早收到。此间已较安静，但关于北方的消息则多，时弛时紧，但我看大约不久会告一段落。
寄E君信，附上一稿，乞兄译后寄下。《文学百科全书》第7本已寄到，日内当寄奉。
上海已冷。市面甚萧条，书籍销路减少，出版者也更加凶起来，卖文者几乎不能生活。我目下还可敷衍，不过不久恐怕总要受到影响。
但寓中均平安。自己身体也好，不过忙于打杂，殊觉苦恼而已。
