惠函及木刻书三种又二十本均收到，谢谢。这书的制版和印刷，以及装订，我以为均不坏，只有纸太硬是一个小缺点；还有两面印，因为能够淆乱观者的视线，但为定价之廉所限，也是没有法子的事。
M.氏的木刻黑白分明，然而最难学，不过可以参考之处很多，我想，于学木刻的学生，一定很有益处。但普通的读者，恐怕是不见得欢迎的。我希望二千部能于一年之内卖完，不要像《艺术三家言》，这才是木刻万岁也。
