惠函收到，来校后适值外出，不能面谈为怅。英文功课一节，弟意仍以为只能请勉为其难，必不至于“闹笑话”。中大教员，非其专门而在校讲授者不少，不要紧的；起初因为预备功课之类，自然要忙，但后来就没有什么了。总之要请打消惠函中所说之意，余容明日面谈。
